An exciting visit from the Fire Brigade !

This was the highlight of the week! The fire service were brilliant and talked to the children about their role of extinguishing fires, protecting life and property in the event of fires, rescuing and protecting people in the event of a road traffic collision and other emergencies. The children then had the opportunity to explore the fire truck, sit in it and have a go at the hose pipe ! Such a great experience !

World Book Day 2019

The children had lots of fun celebrating the 22nd birthday of this global campaign where they got to dress up as their favourite book character and bring in their own book. We have in the meantime, signed up with our local library to frequently visit to choose and change books as the children just love their stories. We start and end each day at Trillium with story-time. Books are a rich starting point for learning in an early years setting.

Shrove Tuesday

The children made their own pancake mix and being Mrs Kooger is married to a Dutch man, she decided to go Dutch and flip the pancakes into the got stuck to the cooker hood which the children found hilarious! Needless to say, they enjoyed squeezing lemon and sprinkling Dutch "poeder suiker" (powder sugar) YUM !!
